This is in consonance with the initiatives and efforts of the headquarter of the 5th Infantry Division under the Green Star project that aims to utilize available idle lands inside and outside the camp and develop it to gardens that will be planted with different varieties of vegetables and fruit-bearing trees.
The project will contribute not only in the preservation of the environment but also in sustaining the food requirements of the troops in the different military camps especially during these trying times due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Alpha Company under 1st Lieutenant Niccolo Bayona continuously joins community activities in partnership with local government units (LGUs) and other stakeholders.
The company and personnel of LGU-Asipulo recently conducted a mental, health awareness symposium to the youth from the six barangay of the municipality to heighten their awareness and understanding of mental health and disorders and to entice them to protect and improve their mental health and psychological well being to adapt to the new normal way of living.
