From Quezon City, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) rolled its Mobile Kitchen to San Juan City to provide free hot meals.
Under the “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” campaign, the AFP mobile kitchen provides meals to disadvantaged individuals of Barangay Corazon de Jesus, San Juan City this weekend.
According to the AFP, culinary trained soldiers on board two military kitchen trucks tagged as “Vessels of Blessings” prepare the meals while support personnel will deliver them to designated drop-off points.
The AFP added that the provision of meals through the mobile kitchen follows enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) protocols – limiting the movement of the people and residents in the area.
The campaign is the second leg of providing free meals after the successful distribution of meals to around 3,000 disadvantaged individuals and families of Purok 1, 2, and 3 in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City earlier this week.
The “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” campaign is led by the Civil Relations Service AFP in support to the overall government effort to assist citizens during the ECQ in Metro Manila and Luzon. (Jimmyley Guzman, PIA)
