An honest Filipino employee of a travel and tours company inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) returned a lost cash pouch containing more than PHP 120,000 worth of cash to a Korean tourist.

The pouch, which contained USD2,056, 31,000 won, 6,020 baht, and PHP20, was accidentally dropped by the Korean tourist in NAIA Terminal 1 on October 31, 2018.

Judith Mertola, an employee of Lucky Jet Travel & Tours, saw the pouch the next day on November 1.

The pouch contained an airline club visa card and a duty-free card that identified the owner.

Mertola brought the pouch the airport’s Lost and Found section. The Korean tourist was then invited to claim his pouch.

The Korean tourist, who did not anymore expect to still recover his pouch, said he was surprised to see that the contents of his pouch are complete.
